Disney has found its Lumiere for the upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, as Ewan McGregor, famous for his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequels, has been cast in the role. This take on Lumiere is being described as "the charming French maitre’d of the desolate castle ruled over by the Beast." It is unclear if he will be a candlestick or not, as in the Disney animated version...
According to Variety and The Wrap, McGregor will be joined by Hunger Games actor Stanley Tucci, who will be playing a completely new character, Cadenza the grand piano.
